Ofer is licensed as a CPA both in the US and in Israel, with more than 20 years of diverse tax and financial advisory experience, including a number of years as a tax manager at Ernst & Young and two years as a senior international tax advisor at Deloitte Tax LLP in the US.
 

Ofer began his career as a staff auditor at Arthur Andersen (Luboshitz Kasierer) in 1997 in Haifa Israel. Later in January of 2000 after gaining his CPA Certification in Delaware, Ofer has joined Ernst & Young (Kost Forer Gabbay & Kasierer) tax department in Tel Aviv, where he specialized in international tax of individuals and in U.S. expatriate taxation, working with many global clients. In June 2002 Ofer left Ernst & Young to pursue his career as a CPA focusing on U.S. tax and accounting services in Israel and in the U.S.

In 2009 Ofer returned to Israel, to rejoin Ernst & Young and cofound the U.S. tax compliance practice in Israel, after a period of six years in the U.S., in Florida and in Atlanta Georgia. Over the six year period in the U.S. Ofer gained extensive knowledge and experience working with many local and foreign clients doing business in the U.S., including real estate developers and investors, individual and corporate clients, providing tax, accounting, and investment advisory services. During the last two years of the stay in the U.S. Ofer was with Deloitte International Tax Group in Atlanta Georgia.

Ofer's experience includes US tax compliance and consulting services to corporate, individual, and not-for-profit exempt organization clients, and advisory to clients on a wide range of tax issues, including US federal tax, international tax, multistate tax, consolidated tax returns, tax reporting of US persons with foreign activities and foreign persons with U.S. activities, taxation of stock/option compensation.FAS 109 and FIN 48 work, and handling U.S. federal tax controversies. Ofer regularly advised executives, founders and key employees upon relocation from Israel to the US and vice versa, handled and resolved US federal tax examinations. Ofer cofounded and managed the U.S tax compliance practice of Ernst & Young in Israel.
